Ahhhhh….one of my favorite times of the year! The day we get to see the beautiful new girls that we’ve worked so hard to get during recruitment! I don’t miss the prep…but I miss the feeling of watching the girls run to us with such excitement and joy! This is also the 3rd time I’ve taken Chandler to the festivities and she. loves. it.
On the first day of recruitment we sent the girls this sweet little message…
The girls help babysit her so of course they teach her all the ways of Alpha Delta Pi. The songs, chants and of course the hand sign!
This picture is probably my most favorite thing in the world. I want so badly for her to love these letters as much as I do when she’s older. She loves them now, so hopefully she will when she grows up and I can share this with her forever.
It took what seemed like hours to get her to cooperate. There were some women watching me wrestle with her and approached me afterward saying, “You’ll be so thankful you have those one day.” It almost made me tear up because that’s my wish. (Obviously if she choses not to be an ADPi I would still support her, but……)
Some of her favorite girls! They babysit her occasionally and she thinks they hung the moon. Taryn (left) and Meredith (right) have helped perfect her diamond throwing
This year the girls rented a snow cone truck and it was a huge success. Alabama is extremely humid in August and this was a great treat on a hot afternoon!
Another favorite! My goal is to recreate this every year (if she’ll let me!)
Look at how much she’s changed! My sweet, happy girl!
This bench was placed in honor of my dear friend and sister, Cynthia. She died unexpectedly during our sophomore year and I miss her terribly. It does my heart good to have this beautiful picture. She would have loved my babies so much! She was truly the best person ever!
All our beautiful new Alphas!
Welcome to The First & The Finest girls! Congratulations!
