Lazy Southern Sunday

This has been a pretty busy week. Here are a few shots from about Thursday on...

Oreo watching me do housework and my new Mary Kay sample organizer and my datebook organizer. I am really sticking to this resolution and it is paying off. I'm happy that this year I am finally able to focus more on my business!

Ok so here's the story-line...
Landon always plays in my bathroom while I get ready for work if he's awake, he puts action figures (this particular one happens to be Woody from Toy Story) on the bathroom fixtures or throws them in the tub because it's fun to watch me pick them up out of there...
So Oreo was checking out what he was doing and began walking down the side of the tub, so then Landon started looking at him like, "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!"
(Yes his pj's are mis-matched but daddy did it, not mommy!)
I guess you just had to be there but I got a kick out of it!

So on the top is my hubby's 6-point that he killed Saturday, in the middle is Jason showing me how cute my baby looked on the way to a friend's birthday party, and on the bottom is Landon's new favorite meal, grilled cheese and chips, I added raisins after I snapped this but he LOVES it!

Today has been one of those lazy days where Landon and I have pretty much lounged around in our jammies, played in his bedroom or the living room floor, watching movies, and I caught up on some reading. Right now I am in the middle of One for the Money by Janet Evanovich.

I wanted to read the book before the movie comes out this month and I must say I am rather in joying it on my new Kindle. I bout it for myself (sad but true) and wrapped it in Santa's special wrapping paper and it sat under the tree for a whole month. So once I FINALLY got to open it let's just say I have well made up for my time of waiting to open it, that's for sure.

I started with the Twilight Saga (yes, yes I know I'm behind the times but I have been catching up quite quick!) I read the first 3 in about 10 days over Christmas vacation and to NOLA and back. My friend from work told me to read the above book so we could go see the movie so I took a Twilight break and once I am finished I will start Breaking Dawn. I am excited for that one because of course the second movie doesn't come out until November. After BD I will start The Hunger Games Trilogy. My brother and sister-in-law and everyone else for that matter have been raving about them so I will join them band wagon as soon as I can.

This week was hard because we said good-bye to a co-worker. Tonya is moving to Kansas to be with her hubby. I am so happy for her to be embarking on this journey but I will miss her! I have only known her a short while but she is a great friend!

Tonya and I Thursday at work. I made her stay until someone would snap it for us! Sorry girl!

Tonya and Angie...they have working together for a very long time! I'm so happy to be a part of their family and that I got to move upstairs to Family Practice!
WE LOVE YOU TJ!!!!
And finally today here are some pictures of my sweetness playing with his blocks!

  1. ooooooo I was thinking about reading that. I never really was too interested in Evanovich's books but I'm getting curious now that the movie is out. Should I read it? I'm currently engrossed in my new favorite author Karin Fossum who write mysteries!

  2. I haven't heard of her but I will put her on my list of "To Reads." I am on The Hunger Games now and so far it's pretty darn good!
